The Story
Where it comes from.
Charles Tanqueray launched his London Dry in Bloomsbury in 1830, building a retail empire on Vine Street by 1838. The distillery survived until WWII when Axis bombing destroyed everything except one building, 'Old Tom', now relocated to Scotland. By 2016, Tanqueray had become the world's best-selling gin.
Why This Bottle Matters
Tanqueray holds a royal warrant from King Charles III and has been a fixture in British culture since Queen Victoria's reign. The brand survived wartime devastation and now sits among Diageo's 'strategic brands' earmarked for global priority.
